Lucknow: Ram Narayan (39), a farmer who went to his farm in Kakori village of capital Lucknow, was attacked by a violent animal on Sunday evening. The farmer was injured in the attack. Police admitted the injured to Lokbandhu Hospital for treatment, where he was discharged after treatment. The Forest Department team that reached the information searched for footprints in the area, but could not find footprints. However, there is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers about the leopard. For their safety, the people of the village are guarding with sticks.

Ram Narayan, a resident of Narauna, cultivates flowers. Around 4 pm on Sunday, Ram Narayan had gone to the field with his son Adarsh ​​(12) to pluck flowers. According to Ramnarayan, while plucking flowers, the violent animal, which appeared to be a panther, attacked from behind. Seeing the leopard, son Adarsh ​​hid behind the tree, while Ramnarayan was injured by the attack. There are about nine claw marks on the throat, chest and back. Ranger JP Gupta said that the predatory animal could be a leopard or hyena. The footprints will be seen again by running a search campaign from Monday morning. For security, forest guards have been deployed in the village. Even after this, the villagers are keeping watch in the night with sticks in view of their safety, so that the leopard does not harm their animals.

The forest department has stopped the search for the leopard which fatally attacked three people four days ago near Hazratpur of Jahangirabad police station in Barabanki. Only the cage of the department has been kept on the spot. The goat has disappeared from the cage. At present, even after four days of the incident, there is silence in Hazratpur and surrounding villages. This village is adjacent to Nagar Palika Parishad Nawabganj border. The atmosphere of panic is intact in the outer locality of the city. Forest guard Girijesh Singh told that the place where the leopard was seen and attacked is no longer there. That doesn't mean at all that he can't come back here now. He will also be hungry for four days. In such a situation, people of about five km need to be alert. DFO Parvez Rustam told that the cage has been installed. On Saturday also the villagers had informed about the presence of leopard. The team went but the information turned out to be just a rumour. That's why the goat has been opened.
