Rajya Sabha adjourned for day amid uproar over Rahul Gandhi's democracy remarks and Adani issue

New Mumbai : On one hand, BJP is protesting against the remarks of Rahul Gandhi in London on PM Modi and his government, while on the other hand, the opposition is demanding an inquiry by the Joint Parliamentary Committee in the Adani-Hindenburg case. Amidst this uproar, Parliament was adjourned today without any work. On Thursday, March 16, Rahul Gandhi appeared in the Lok Sabha for the first time after the controversy over his remarks in London, but the proceedings of both houses were adjourned for the day after a few minutes. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that he wanted to present his side on the issue but was not allowed to speak. Talking to reporters, Rahul Gandhi said that if Indian democracy was working, I would have been able to speak in Parliament.

“The House was adjourned 1 minute after I reached today. A few days ago, the speech I gave in the House on the relationship between Narendra Modi and Adani ji was removed from the proceedings of the House. There was nothing in that speech that is not in the public record."
