2 deadliest submarines have joined Indian Navy in 24 months and 3rd submarine is joining Indian Navy on 23rd January. Kalvari class submarine INS Vagir is all set to join the Indian Navy. INS Vagir is joining the Navy after two years of sea trials. 6 Kalvari class submarines are being built under Project 75, of which 4 have already been commissioned into the Indian Navy and the fifth is inducting on 23 January. Kalvari class submarines are completely manufactured in India. 

6 Kalvari class submarines are being built at Mazgaon Shipyard in Mumbai, of which 4 submarines have already joined the Indian Navy. INS Kalvari, INS Karanj, INS Vela and INS Khanderi are serving in the Indian Navy and now INS Vagir is also set to join the Navy. 

The 67 meter long, 21 meter high submarine will have a speed of 20 kilometers per hour above water and 40 kilometers per hour underwater. With more than 50 sailors and naval officers to work in, this submarine will be equipped with 16 torpedoes, mines, missiles, everything.
